I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
